FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, a leading player in the Nigerian dairy sector, convened a high-level regulatory parley at the Chief Oludolapo Ibukun Akinkugbe Academy. The event brought together key regulatory bodies, industry stakeholders, and senior management to discuss compliance, operational priorities, and strategic initiatives for stronger collaborations and business engagement.
The meeting provided a platform for constructive dialogue aimed at reinforcing partnerships between the company, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders. Discussions focused on fostering better working relationship, ensuring consumer protection, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and product quality across the Nigerian dairy industry. The collaborative session highlighted how strong relationships with regulators and stakeholders are essential to achieving both business, industry and national development goals.
The event had in attendance representatives from The Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control in Nigeria (NAFDAC), Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA), Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) and Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA). Other participants include, Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC), Lagos State Parking Agency (LASPA), Lagos State Waste Management Office (LSWMO), Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission (LASWARCO).
During the discussions, it was emphasized that continuous engagement with regulatory bodies is critical to building a resilient and trustworthy industry ecosystem. “Today’s dialogue with regulatory stakeholders and industry partners reinforces our commitment to excellence, transparency, and compliance,” noted Managing Director, FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, Roger Adou. “We recognize that success depends on strong partnerships with regulators and external stakeholders who share our vision of a safe, sustainable, and thriving dairy sector.
