Police, army strengthen ties, forge robust relationship in Enugu

The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr Mamman Giwa, has reaffirmed the command’s commitment to a stronger and more effective working relationship with the Nigerian Army.

The commissioner gave the assurance when the new Commander, 82 Division Garrison, Nigerian Army, Enugu, Brig.-Gen. Garba Suru, paid him a courtesy visit in Enugu on Wednesday.

Giwa said that the renewed relationship was aimed at enhancing security and safety across the state.

Earlier, Suru said that he came on familiarisation visit to know the principal officers of the police command better.

The garrison commander emphasised the need for sustained synergy and cordial collaboration between the police command and the garrison command.

The commissioner was joined by members of the command’s management team in receiving the garrison commander and his entourage.
