Charlie Holt has left Manchester City and joined Cardiff City’s Under-21s.
It makes him the first player to leave after the Premier League giants were found guilty on all 115 charges of financial rule breaches.
The young midfielder has secured a move to the Welsh capital amid the uncertainty surrounding the future at the Etihad.
The 17-year-old will not be joining the senior squad yet, but will feature for the Under-21s managed by Matthew Bloxham.
City boss Enzo Maresca has already seen David Eze move to Manchester United prior to the charges being officially announced.
Holt was excited by the opportunity, and said: “I’m very pleased to be here. It’s a great opportunity and a different challenge for me.
“It’s a brilliant environment to be in and I can’t wait to get started. I’d say I’m an energetic player with technical ability on the ball. Hopefully, I can chip in with a few goals as well.
“The opportunities that you can get here at Cardiff are clear to see. It’s a great place to be.”
The youngster did not make his senior debut while at Man City; however, made 12 appearances for the U18s.
