Foundation empowers community with food items, youths with tricycle

In a bid to reduce hunger, poverty and promote education in rural areas, the management of Touch of Valentine Foundation has given out 500 bags of rice, 1000 cartons of Indomie, 2000 pieces of yam with the sum of N2m cash each for ten people who are not doing anything for start-up. Another 12 youths were handed over tricycles commonly known as keke for transport business to make ends meat in Nnewi, Anambra state.

In a media chat with the Chairman and Founder, Touch of Valentine Foundation, Dr. Valentine Mbamalu said, “In addition to two essential necessities of life, food and shelter, education, skill acquisition is very important in Nigeria of today especially among the youths to save the country from insecurity, knowing that an idle man is a devil’s workshop. You can see the rate of drug abuse among our youths in the society. So, these provisions must be channeled to the less privileged, widows, and to engage the youth to become self-reliant.

According to Mbamalu, “The foundation has taken it upon itself to build 1000 houses for the widows and the less privileged. Today, many of them now have shelter over their head and children”.

“Also, considering the important of education in the society, the foundation in the past few years, has given out scholarships to more than 150 students which include primary, secondary and universities. Our target is to eradicate poverty in rural areas of the Nigerian society”.

Continuing, Mbamalu said, “This is another way of promoting humanitarian activities in the society, and contributing our quota to nation building. It is part of our mission statements to put smiles on the faces of people, and as well contribute positively to our environment. This is a means our country can move forward knowing that the government alone cannot provide all the needs of the citizens”.

However, Mbamalu is a distinguished lawyer and philanthropist whose impact spans multiple industries. He serves as the CEO of H.H.CC, a construction company that have define the essence of construction in Nigeria, the Chairman, Red Pastures Ltd, Speed Worth Autos Ltd., TOV Homes and Interiors Ltd, Snow Worth Technology, Luna Magnet Ltd, TOV Oil & Gas, and Double Rain Production.
