GetBundi, Miss Grand Ghana, Encase Consulting unite to train 100 women in tech

In a landmark effort to boost digital literacy and gender empowerment in Africa, three dynamic organizations; GetBundi Education Technology, Miss Grand Ghana, and Encase Consulting Nigeria, have announced a strategic partnership to train 100 young Ghanaian women in high-demand digital skills. The initiative, unveiled in a joint press release on Saturday, June 28, 2025, is part of GetBundi’s flagship TechSis 2025 program. The selected participants, aged between 19 and 40, will receive full sponsorship to undergo a four-month intensive training in Data Analytics and Cybersecurity from August to November.

They will be joining 1,400 other African women in what is shaping up to be one of the continent’s largest female-focused digital training programmes. This partnership is especially significant as it seeks to combine the power of education, leadership, and purposeful pageantry to promote women’s inclusion in the tech industry. It is being launched in anticipation of the Miss Grand Ghana 2025 Grand Finale, which will spotlight the selected trainees and their transformational journey.
At the heart of the initiative is GetBundi, a government-approved EdTech platform renowned for delivering top-tier STEM and digital content across Africa. The platform will provide the technical training component, using its curriculum-aligned resources designed to promote digital fluency, problem-solving, and practical industry knowledge. “We are proud to create a learning environment where these girls can compete globally,” said Osita Oparaugo, Founder and CEO of GetBundi. “Education is the real crown, and through TechSis 2025, we are redefining what empowerment looks like for African women.” Supporting the personal and professional growth of participants is Encase Consulting Nigeria, a global human capital and leadership development company. The firm will provide career coaching, mentorship, and soft-skills development to ensure participants not only learn but thrive after the program. “At Encase Consulting, we build people,” said Awalite Favour, Head of Media and Public Relations. “We’re honoured to support an initiative that gives women voice, skills, and vision.” Adding its influential voice to the initiative is Miss Grand Ghana, a pageantry platform dedicated to using beauty for purpose. National Director Abena Akuaba stressed the transformative potential of empowering young women. “We believe that when you give girls knowledge, you light up entire communities. This partnership is proof of that belief in action.” Vanessa Obeng, Miss Grand Ghana 2025 Grand Pitch winner and a former NFL cheerleader and NBA dancer, described the collaboration as “game-changing.” She noted, “It goes beyond beauty. It gives women real-world tools to thrive in a tech-driven economy. Like teaching someone to fish, it sustains them for life.” Applications for the 100 Ghanaian slots open on July 1, 2025, with the program’s impact to be celebrated publicly during the Miss Grand Ghana 2025 Grand Finale on August 16, 2025.
