Sahara Group has opened applications for its #SaharaBeyondXXX Graduate Management Trainee (GMT) programme, aimed at grooming future leaders in the energy and infrastructure sector.
Mr Bethel Obioma, Head of Corporate Communications, disclosed this in a statement issued in Lagos.
According to Obioma, the programme is an accelerated pathway to identify and develop leaders to drive the company’s ongoing transformation.
He explained it targets high-potential young professionals ready to assume responsibility across Sahara’s integrated energy value chain.
The chain spans upstream, midstream, downstream, power and technology businesses within the organisation’s global operations.
According to him, the initiative aligns with Sahara’s Beyond XXX vision marking its 30th anniversary and commitment to delivering “Xtra value, care and solutions”.
Obioma said the programme reflected Sahara’s belief that people remain central to sustainable growth and long-term success.
“As Sahara marks 30 years of Making A Difference, the Beyond XXX GMT Programme looks forward with clear intention.
“We seek audacious, visionary young professionals ready to think differently and take responsibility early,” Obioma said.
He said the programme aimed to develop leaders who will deliver “Xtra impact for Africa’s energy future” across regional and global markets.
Also speaking, Head of Human Resources, Emilomo Arorote, described the initiative as a deliberate investment in leadership development.
“The programme is designed for agile, resilient professionals with the curiosity and courage to grow into leadership,” Arorote said.
She added that participants would gain broad exposure, build critical capabilities and contribute meaningfully to Sahara’s transformation agenda.
Sahara operates across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, with over 6,000 professionals driving its Making A Difference ethos.
Arorote said the GMT programme was central to Sahara’s talent strategy, producing leaders across its global operations.
Applications are open to graduates from all disciplines and will close on April 17
