LAGOS—In a free and fair election held in Lagos, Mazi Chuks Nwosu, has emerged as the President- General-elect of the Abia State Town Union Association, ASTUA), Lagos branch.
The election, closely monitored by representatives of the Abia State government and other stakeholders, was declared free, fair, and transparent by the electoral committee.
Mazi Nwosu’s victory marks a major milestone in his leadership journey, as he secured the mandate unopposed. His tenure is expected to focus on empowering members of the Abia diaspora community in Lagos, promoting unity, and fostering socio-economic development across the state.
ASTUA Lagos branch serves as a socio-cultural platform that unites Abia indigenes residing in Lagos. The new President General will lead the association for a three-year term, working collaboratively with other executives and stakeholders to advance the collective interests of Abia people in the state.
