A professional group made of professionals from different sectors of the economy in Nigeria and diaspora gathered in Lagos to organise prayer for Deputy Governor, Lagos state, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat at his 62 birthday.
The group which was officially launched to support and contribute to Dr. Hamzat’s success now and beyond is calling on Lagosians to support his political ambition in 2027 for transformational leadership.
Speaking during the prayer session, the Special Guest, Mr. Femi Kennedy-Giwa (GM, Lagos, Command and Control Center) said, “What you people have done today is a testament that you believe in the present administration in Lagos, and you’re also reaffirming your trust, your belief in KOH”.
“I’m talking about our own highly esteemed and able Mr. Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi-Hamzat who has gathered enough experience to continue the good work going in Lagos come 2027”.
Kennedy-Giwa said, “A leader is a representation of what a nation would look like. I’m talking about leaders that have the people at heart, who have their community at heart, you begin to see true leadership, transformational leadership”.
Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, who over the years has been in government, he’s a quintessential administrator, he’s a technocrat, he’s an engineer. He studied both in Nigeria and abroad, and what he’s bringing is over 20 years of public service experience”.
According to him, KOH Professional Volunteers is launched to support and contribute to good administration in Lagos and we want it to continue come 2027. “Today Lagos is carrying a population of about 20 million people, providing housing, infrastructures, ICT, and the rest of them for Nigerians living in Lagos”.
In addition, Spokesman, KOH Professional Volunteers, Mr Solarin Olu said, “This group is one made up of professionals from different fields coming together to mobilise and gather support for the Deputy Governor of Lagos state, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat to become Governor 2027.
“This group is different from every other political group. Indeed, it is made up of professionals from different fields, where we can always come up with plans and ideas that will transcend beyond the political system down into governance. Also, we do engagements, and apart from that also, we also have different social media propagation. And we’ve been able to think of coming together as a group to pray for him on his birthday.”
