The second edition of Community Sales Fair 2.0, October vest kicks off this Saturday, October 3 and 4, 2026 to promote business opportunities in Anthony village and its environs in Lagos where Brand owners and individuals are brought together to shop, connect and support businesses to grow.
Speaking during the press conference on the Fair, the Founder, Gienger and Convener, Community Sales Fair, Angela Obilom said, “The idea behind Community Sales Fair is for the residents of Anthony to discover neighbourhood businesses, and also interact with participants”.
“There are a lot of estates demarcated with gates that make it difficult to know your neighbours, and you can live beside someone for three years and you never really had a conversation with them. So that is really what the fair aims to achieve – bridging that gap; to foster community spirit and to also stimulate trade”.
Obilom said, “At the last fair, we had a vendor that sold out her products before 5 p.m, and that is really what we are about. To stimulate neighbourhood economies, foster trade and the camaraderie that exists within the community”.
“She said, “If you’re a business owner who even lives outside Anthony and you want more customers from Anthony, this is also an opportunity for you to showcase. New Telecom companies are coming to showcase and other brand owners”.
In addition, Managing Director, SooperMART Grocery Stores Limited, Mrs. Ope Omole said, “I’m happy with Angela because this initiative is bringing the community together to connect and exchange business ideas, meet opportunities you have been looking for to push your brand to the next level of success”.
Omole said, “In Ogba I see how vibrant the business environment is. And I, for one, I have always been an entrepreneur from my 80s. So when I see neighbourhoods like that I begin to wonder what’s happening to our youths in Anthony. So introducing Community Sales Fair in Anthony is giant stride to promote business network and growth”.
Creative Director, Cedar Atelier, Tobi Adelaja said, “Community Sales Fair is an advantage for everyone. Young people who have businesses need to showcase it. I remember I was there at the last fair. There were a couple of friends who are not living in Anthony that came around and displayed. Some of my friends who live in Anthony that came around also displayed”.
According to Adelaja, “The fair is a big opportunity to meet people you can partner with, meet new customers that could increase your sales. If you get the opportunity to meet a new person, it’s never a wasted opportunity”.
