The Police Command in Delta, says it has arrested a suspected cultist and recovered ammunition from him.
Spokesman for the command, SP Bright Edafe told newsmen in Warri that the 32-year-old suspect was apprehended on Saturday.
Edafe said that the suspect was nabbed by the operatives of Delta Shield, while on surveillance patrol at Orerokpe community in Okpe Local Government Area of the state.
According to him, on April 11, operatives of Delta Shield, while on surveillance patrol at Orerokpe in Okpe Local Government Area, apprehended one suspect, aged 32.
“A search conducted on the suspect led to the recovery of one locally made double barrel cut-to-size pistol, two live cartridges, one expended cartridge and a sachet of suspected Tramadol.
“During preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed to being the leader of Juris Confraternity,” Edafe said.
He added that the suspect was currently in custody of the command, and that investigation in the matter was on course
