A Nigerian-based cleric in South Africa and founder of Rock of Victory Ministries International, Johannesburg, South Africa, Reverend Francis Anosike, during the last biennial programme had appealed to the General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka and other men of God to pray for God’s intervention so that Xenophobia in South Africa will become a thing of the past.
Francis, who runs his ministry in South Africa made this appeal during a media chat at the Lord’s Chosen programme, titled: “…And The Enemies Submitted,” held at its headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos. He said the situation in South Africa needed prayers and God’s intervention, hence he called on his spiritual father, and mentor, Pastor Lazarus Muoka to pray for them regarding the crisis in South Africa, where some Nigerians have been killed.
Francis, whose ministry in South Africa spanned over two decades, exonerated the government of South Africa from what happened but hinged the blame on political parties.
According to him, “I don’t know what the Nigerian government wants to do about the situation. To me, we need to pray for that beautiful nation so that God will arrest every situation and that is why I’m calling on Daddy Lazarus Muoka to pray for us. The crisis in South Africa is not caused by the government; the government is not in support of the violence you see on the streets”.
Francis further said that South African government is absolutely doing its best to promote peace, protect everybody including foreigners who are in the country to live or do business.
Continuing, he said, “In every country you see bad elements trying to oppose the law of the land. So besides that, South African government is doing its best to ensure that lives and property are safe and protected.”
On how he adopted Pastor Lazarus Muoka as his spiritual father and mentor, Francis who is the Senior Pastor of his ministry is a regular attendee at all Chosen programmes, described his mentor as an amazing man of God and a true servant of the Most High God. He recalled that his encounter with Pastor Muoka started about 18 years ago, through divine intervention.
Speaking about Pastor Muoke whom he said God revealed to him while he was praying for direction, Francis said, “He is an amazing man of God. Daddy Lazarus Muoka is a man that I like, in fact, I can’t describe him with a human word. Daddy Lazarus Muoka is a true servant of the Most High God. I have been in the ministry for over 30 years, preaching the gospel all over the world. I have seen men of God but Daddy Lazarus Muoka is a different man of God.
Other track records that really endeared him to his mentor, according to Francis include Muoka’s integrity and his fear for God.
“Pastor Muoke is a man of integrity. I am not moved by what people say, ‘we can do miracles, we can pull crowds; we are billionaire preachers or we have millions of followers all over the world.’ They don’t move me. One of the things that moves me is to ensure that the person that I’m dealing with has integrity or he is a man of integrity”.
“Even though you can raise the dead from the grave, if you are not a man of integrity forget it. I cannot associate with you so Daddy Lazarus Muoka is a God-fearing man, a man that practices what he preaches.
Most men of God are not doing what they are preaching but this man is a true servant of God. You can rely and depend on him. What he said in the secret he repeats same in the open and what he said in the open is exactly what he would say in the secret.”
