Gas explosion injures 1 in Lagos

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed a gas explosion on Adeleye Street in the Doyin area of Orile-Iganmu, Lagos, leaving one person injured and two shops damaged.

The Deputy Controller General of the Service, Mr Olajide Ogabi, confirmed this in a statement in Lagos.

According to him, the agency receives a distress call at about 12:23p.m, with firefighters arriving at the scene by 12:34p.m.
